Rupture valves
ALGI rupture valves are used as a safety component for uncontrolled cylinder movement. In the event that a pipe or hose bursts the valve interrupts and dampens the flow of oil. The component is mounted either on the cylinder connection or can be installed into the cylinder bottom. As we manufacture our own cylinders, bespoke solutions are available. Rupture valve
When the lift system overspeeds, part of the oil flow drains off (red arrow) and dampens the piston in the rupture valve until it is closed.
The flow rate reaches from 10 to 1,300 l/min. with adapter sizes of 1/2" to 2 1/2" each.
